Yup, and off topic slightly, moi wondering when Rachel Maddow will get new instructions from the Mossad.

ACTION ALERT: It’s Been Over a Year Since MSNBC Has Mentioned US War in Yemen
Why is the No. 1 outlet of alleged anti-Trump #resistance completely ignoring his most devastating war?
As FAIR has noted before (1/8/18, 3/20/18), to MSNBC,
the carnage and destruction the US and its Gulf Monarchy allies are
leveling against the poorest country in the Arab world is simply a
non-issue.
On July 2, a year had passed since the cable network’s last segment
mentioning US participation in the war on Yemen, which has killed in
excess of 15,000 people and resulted in over a million cases of cholera. The US is backing a Saudi-led bombing campaign with intelligence, refueling, political cover, military hardware and, as of March, ground troops. None of this matters at all to what Adweek (4/3/18)
calls “the network of the Resistance,” which has since its last mention
of the US’s role in the destruction of Yemen found time to run over a dozen segments highlighting war crimes committed by the Syrian and Russian governments in Syria.
By way of contrast, as MSNBC was marking a year without mentioning the US role in Yemen, the PBS NewsHour was running a three-part series on the war, with the second part (7/3/18) headlined, “American-Made Bombs in Yemen Are Killing Civilians, Destroying Infrastructure and Fueling Anger at the US.” The NewsHour’s Jane Ferguson reported:
The aerial bombing campaign has not managed to dislodge
the rebels, but has hit weddings, hospitals and homes. The US military
supports the Saudi coalition with logistics and intelligence. The United
States it also sells the Saudis and coalition partners many of the
bombs they drop on Yemen.
MSNBC chat show/Starbucks commercial Morning Joe did run one segment (4/25/18)
that vaguely mentioned the war on Yemen, but failed to note the US’s
role in it at all, much less that Washington is arming and backing the
conflict’s primary aggressor. Instead, they did the perverse
inversion––previously mastered by Washington Post’s Jackson Diehl (FAIR.org, 6/27/17)—of not only ignoring the US’s major role in killing thousands, but painting the US as a noble haven for refugees.....
before dropping back into another deep slumber for the next period of the ongoing atrocities committed in Yemen by Saudi Arabia+Sunni gang armed with US weapons. Don't believe me? Watch and see if anything more comes from PBS after this one-time peep and bluster.

“The Criminalization of War: Gaza” will examine:
The ongoing crimes committed against the people of Palestine,
The broader process of Israeli territorial expansion,
Israel and the criminalization of war as defined by the Kuala Lumpur Declaration launched by Tun Mahathir Mohamad in 2005,
The mounting tide of Islamophobia
The role of the “Global War on Terrorism” as a pretext to wage war on the broader Middle East,
The propaganda campaign directed against Palestine,
The recent history of Israeli aggression against the People of Palestine including the strategic and geopolitical dimensions,
The Israeli plan to confiscate Gaza’s offshore natural gas reserves........
....Israel’s blockade of Gaza is a criminal undertaking: Gaza is a concentration camp, the World’s largest open air prison from which no one can escape.
Two million Palestinians live under an Israeli siege. Israel controls the entry of essential goods including food, water, energy and medicine. Israel also controls Gaza’s territorial waters in derogation of international law.
The Zionist project supports the Jewish settlement movement. More broadly it involves a policy of killing, impoverishing and excluding Palestinians from Palestine with a view to eventually implementing the annexation of both the West Bank and Gaza to the State of Israel:
Today, six million Palestinians dispersed in various refugee camps are denied the right of return to their ancestral Palestine; the other six million lived under occupation in Gaza and the West Bank. For twelve years, two million Palestinians have been imprisoned under a brutal land and sea military blockade in Gaza.
During this time there were three major military assaults where Gaza was relentlessly bombed for weeks. Recently, since 30 March 2018, unarmed Gaza demonstrators calling for the Right of Return are shot at with high grade military assault rifles leaving more than 124 dead and 13,000 severely wounded with hundreds of amputees and potential amputees. (Dr Swee Ang, Global Research, July 2018
The crimes committed by Israel against the people of Palestine, with the tacit support of Western governments must be addressed in the broader context of the criminalization of war.

THE GREATER ISRAEL PROECT
The expansionist policies of the State of Israel including the annexation of the illegally occupied territories, not to mention the “Greater Israel” project of territorial extension are an integral part of the US-led military agenda in Middle East.
When viewed in the current context, the siege on Gaza and the Zionist Plan for the Middle East are related to the US-NATO military agenda including the US-led 2003 invasion of Iraq, the 2006 war on Lebanon, the 2011 war on Libya, the ongoing wars on Syria, Iraq and Yemen.....

Starving and Bombed Children of Yemen Seek Entrapment in Flooded Thai Cave
While the world watched and waited with bated breath for the outcome of the substantial global effort – involving over 100 cave divers from various countries, 1,000 members of the Thai Army and 10,000 others in various roles – to rescue a team of 12 young football players and their coach, who were trapped inside a flooded cave in Thailand for 17 days, 850,000 children were killed by human adults in other parts of the world, many of them simply starved to death in Yemen or other parts of Africa, Asia and Central/South America.
But other children were killed in ritual sacrifice. Many children were killed after being sexually trafficked, raped and tortured, many were killed in wars (including in Yemen), many were killed while living under military occupation, many died as child soldiers or while working as slave laborers, and vast numbers of other children suffered violence in a myriad other forms ranging from violence (including sexual violation) inflicted in the family home to lives of poverty, homelessness and misery in wealthy industrialized countries or as refugees fleeing conflict zones.
Why did the world’s corporate media highlight the flooded Thai cave story so graphically and why do so many ordinary people respond with such interest – meaning genuine emotional engagement – in this story? But not the others just mentioned?
And what does this tell us about human psychology and geopolitics?
Needless to say, a great deal.
During the Thai cave drama, major corporate media outlets, such as the Washington Post and the BBC, were routinely releasing ‘breaking news’ updates on the status of the rescue effort. At high points in the drama, reports on this issue were overshadowing major political and other stories of the day. At the same time, there were no ‘breaking news’ stories on any of the many myriad forms of violence against children, which were (and are still) killing 50,000 children each day.
So why the corporate media interest in this essentially local (Thai) story about a group of 12 children trapped in a cave? And why did it attract so much support, including foreign cave divers, engineers and medics as well as technology billionaire Elon Musk, who flew in to investigate rescue options and assist with the rescue effort. They and their equivalents are certainly not flying in to rescue children in a vast number of other contexts, including where the provision of simple, nourishing meals and clean water would do wonders....
I find Dennis the Menace cartoons much more entertaining than the lame ones I have been seeing these days. Can't the cartoonists get over Trump and think of someone or something else??

and the sooner we realize that, the sooner we can start to imagine and visualize what the nation of Israel with Jews, Muslim Palestinians, Christian Palestinians, Druze and what-have-you will look like in a couple of decades because there's no getting away from the fact that these people who are at each other's throats at this present time, will ultimately have to live together as one people. There's just no other way.

Israel Bulldozes Khan Al Ahmar and Buries the Two-State Solution
Israel finally built an access road to the West Bank village of Khan Al Ahmar last week, after half a century of delays. But Israel only allows vehicles like the bulldozers scheduled to sweep away its 200 inhabitants’ homes.
If one community has come to symbolize the demise of the two-state solution, it is Khan Al Ahmar.
It was for that reason that a posse of European diplomats left their air-conditioned offices late last week to trudge through the hot, dusty hills outside Jerusalem and witness the preparations for the village’s destruction. That included the Israeli police beating residents and supporters as they tried to block the advance of heavy machinery.
Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain submitted a formal protest. Their denunciations echoed those of more than 70 Democratic lawmakers in Washington in May – a rare example of US politicians showing solidarity with Palestinians.
It would be gratifying to believe that Western governments care about the inhabitants of Khan Al Ahmar – or the thousands of other Palestinians who are being incrementally cleansed by Israel from nearby lands but whose plight has drawn far less attention.
After all, the razing of Khan Al Ahmar and the forcible transfer of its population are war crimes.
But in truth, Western politicians are more concerned about propping up the illusion of a peace process that expired many years ago, than the long-running abuse of Palestinians under Israeli occupation.......
